About me

Retired RAF air transport navigator. Moved to Quenington in 1992 to be closer to Hatherop Castle where Jean taught. Within the year, posted to HQ British Forces Cyprus ‘just for 2 years.’ In 2000, no end in sight, moved off the base and integrated nicely into a village in the Troodos foothills. Final retirement to the UK in 2010 (aged 67!) led to enrolment at Coln Community Store as the post office volunteer. I am still there: it keeps the brain in running order. The Parish Council beckoned early on and continues to offer the opportunity to improve things for the village and the residents young and old.
